How did you learn HTML and/or CSS?

I am the type that has always been able to browse the internet, find video tutorials, and pick things up rather quickly. I know some need more formal education, but I never needed that. The internet is such a large thing with so many different tutorials out there that offer an abundance of information regardless of your skill level.

Internet is sufficient to learn many things but formal education gives you discipline and organization.

I've learned it in a summer before school started from the internet. Everything you need to know is on the internet, and it was actually more fun to learn it on my own than from school because it was slow paced and we did lots of reading before we got to actually try anything.
