    As the world chooses today to resound the Call to end Malaria.

    Considering the fact that we are used to it in this part of the world and we tend to feel Malaria is not a big deal. I am using this occasion to share these facts about malaria that could save your life.

    1. You are not safe until Malaria is eradicated

    I know you live in a nice neighborhood and you think malaria is a thing for the poor, sorry to disappoint you,

    Nearly half of the world's population is at risk of malaria!
    And that 'half' covers all of Africa! After all, Africa is not as populous as half of the whole world! So you are not safe until Malaria eradicated.

    2. In 2015, about 305 000 African children died before their fifth birthdays

    3. Lack of medication can cause brain damage, loss of muscle function, coma or even death.

    4. Anti-malaria bed nets are the most effective and inexpensive way to prevent malaria.

    5. Being a vector-borne virus, Eradicating malaria is possible by ensuring the vector (Anopheles Mosquito) have nothing to transport! This can be done by treating every malaria case!

    Finally, Dont self-medicate, see a doctor at the sight of any of the Malaria symptoms like ;

    • shaking chills that can range from moderate to severe.
    • high fever.
    • profuse sweating.
    • headache.
    • nausea.
    • vomiting.
    • diarrhea.
    • anemia.

    Lets take responsibility, Lets #EndMalariaNow.
